What the site is
51 Classic Chevy publishes general information about the 1951 Chevrolet and related cars, for enthusiasts. It is not a shop manual, a professional inspection, an appraisal or legal advice. Specifications, part numbers, production figures and prices come from period and secondary sources that do not always agree, and they may contain errors.
Working on your car
Working on a car carries real risk: lifting, fuel, brakes and electrics can injure you or damage the car. If you follow anything you read here, you do so at your own risk. Use proper equipment, follow the factory service manual and current safety practice, and get a qualified mechanic for anything you are not sure about.
Buying and selling
